芸術の森
札幌芸術の森は、北方の新しい芸術・文化の創造を目指して、昭和61年（1986年）7月27日にオープンしました。その後、1999年に3期15年にわたる整備を完了しています。
札幌芸術の森は、〈芸術文化都市さっぽろ〉のシンボルとして、個性ある新しい札幌の文化を育てることを目的に、札幌が誇りとする豊かな大自然と、都市、芸術、文化が調和した環境づくりを目指しています。
四季折々の表情を見せる広大な敷地に国内外の彫刻作品を常設展示する札幌芸術の森野外美術館、札幌芸術の森美術館と工芸館での企画展示事業、音楽・舞台芸術分野の創作・公演事業、工芸(陶芸・染色・織・木工他)、版画等の講習会事業を中心とする主催事業を年間を通じて開催しています。
また、工房や各施設を貸出し、利用者自らの制作や練習、発表の場ともなっています。野外ステージ、アートホールではPMFやバレエセミナーなど将来を担う芸術家育成事業が行われ、海外から講師や参加者が集います。
豊かな自然の中で、観る、体験する、創る活動を通して芸術と出会い、人々と交流することができる場所として、芸術の森は皆様に親しまれています。
The Sapporo Art Park, a beacon of new artistic and cultural creation in the north, opened its doors on July 27, 1986. It has since completed a three-phase, 15-year development by 1999. As a symbol of ‘Art and Cultural City Sapporo,’ the Sapporo Art Park aims to nurture a unique and new culture of Sapporo, creating an environment where the city’s proud natural beauty harmoniously blends with urban life, art, and culture. The park features the Sapporo Art Park Sculpture Garden, showcasing a permanent collection of domestic and international sculptures set against the backdrop of its vast grounds that change with the seasons. It also hosts a variety of exhibitions at the Sapporo Art Museum and the Craft Hall, along with creative and performance projects in music and performing arts. Focused mainly on workshops in crafts (including pottery, dyeing, weaving, woodworking, etc.) and printmaking, the park organizes numerous events throughout the year. The workshops and facilities are also available for rent, serving as spaces for creation, practice, and presentation by the users. The outdoor stage and Art Hall host artist development programs like the PMF and ballet seminars, attracting instructors and participants from overseas. Nestled in lush nature, the Sapporo Art Park is a beloved place where people can encounter art through viewing, experiencing, and creating, fostering interaction and community.
SAPPORO ART PARK
滝野すずらん丘陵公園
国営滝野すずらん丘陵公園は北海道で唯一の国営公園。400ヘクタールの敷地内には、色とりどりの花畑、大型遊具、3つの滝、散策にもってこいの森があり、札幌市民や観光客で賑わう。クリスマスの頃になると「滝野スノーワールド」と名前を変えて冬季オープン。冬は入園無料となり、さまざまな雪遊びを楽しめる。長さ250m、傾斜7度のゲレンデは子どものスキーデビューにぴったり。歩くスキーは初級者向け1km・5km、中級者向け3km・6km、上級者向け10km・16kmの全6コース。
Takinoue Suzuran Hillside National Government Park, located in Hokkaido, is the only national park in the region. Spanning 400 hectares, this park is a vibrant destination for both Sapporo residents and tourists, featuring colorful flower fields, large playgrounds, three waterfalls, and forests ideal for strolling. During the Christmas season, it transforms into ‘Takinoue Snow World,’ opening for the winter. Entrance is free in the winter, offering a variety of snow activities for all to enjoy. Its 250-meter long slope with a 7-degree incline is perfect for children’s skiing debuts. For cross-country skiing, the park provides six courses catering to all levels: 1km and 5km for beginners, 3km and 6km for intermediate skiers, and challenging 10km and 16km trails for advanced skiers.
TAKINO SUZURAN HILLSIDE PARK
真駒内滝野霊園
札幌市内最大級の広さをもつ霊園でもある。
モアイ像‐大きいものは高さ9.5m、重さ120tを有する。33体のモアイ像が存在し、周辺の休憩用ベンチの一部もモアイ像を模している。
頭大仏 ‐ 原石4,000ｔより選別・加工し57魂より構造され、高さ13.5m、総重量1,500tの石像大仏で、当初は『御霊供養大仏』と呼ばれていた。後に建築家安藤忠雄によって大仏殿が建設された。外からは頭しか見えない構造になっている。2016年7月17日から一般公開している。
The Takinoue Suzuran Hillside Park in Sapporo also serves as one of the largest cemeteries in the city. It is notable for housing 33 Moai statues, with the largest standing at 9.5 meters tall and weighing 120 tons. Some of the park’s benches for rest and relaxation are also designed in the shape of Moai statues.
Additionally, the park features a massive stone Buddha head, initially known as the “Spiritual Memorial Buddha.” This impressive structure was crafted from 4,000 tons of raw stone, structured with 57 souls, standing at 13.5 meters tall and weighing a total of 1,500 tons. The Buddha hall, constructed later by the renowned architect Tadao Ando, is designed so that only the head of the Buddha is visible from outside. This monumental Buddha has been open to the public since July 17, 2016.
